My first ultrasound

With a blend of nervousness and joy, I sat behind the wheel of the car and driving two days with the family to reach Davos.
The very drive with motorhomes throughout Europe was great.
The race itself was a great trip for me.
Like many others, I was pumped full of adrinalin of music and mood before starting. At the start of the race, the helicopter with a TV team flew over and the pace was freaked out by spectators with bells and whistles.
After a while running on asphalt I began to get hurt in my knees and realized that I had forgotten my new shoes in the back with a change of clothes. This meant that I reduced the speed so as to struggle with pain instead of keeping a "high" pace. To cancel the race was untouched, and especially after I had kissed my daughter to run on after she had fallen in her last race the day before.
When I arrived at the depot of dry clothes after 42km, I realized that many I had initially tried to keep track of were participants of the marathon length and therefore also finished their race. I and the others with red start number were only halfway!
But now climbing and terrain running as well, I'm enjoying it. In addition, with shoes, new shoes and dry clothes, it was much easier. It was a joy in the uphill when I passed other participants and not vice versa. Along the way and afraid of stiffening my legs, I decided to stop for massage and some food at the control point that was on top.
The last hours of the race before targeting were characterized by thunderstorms and a lot of rain. But I just glanced when realized that I could actually complete that. As I passed the finish line I had collected 149 participants and ended 125 places in my class and 720 out of 1186 participants.
Completing the race was my goal and I was very pleased with the result.

We think it was his debut on ultrasound, and then it's impressive to advance over 100 places last 1/3 of the race.
